Due to a cyclone, the weather turned stormy and seas were rocking. Our trip to Dunedin and Milford Sound were cancelled due to the rough seas so we are slowly cruising back to Sydney from Wellington through the Cook Strait and Tasmanian Sea. The seas were running 10-12m however, we just walked a little funny through the ship as it rocked back and forth. Overnight the seas were rougher since Giddy rolled off the couch where he was sacked out last night.
We will be back in Sydney on Friday Feb 9th and then we fly to Melbourne AU for a long weekend and Superbowl Monday. Yes, Superbowl Monday otherwise I could provide the score on Sunday morning since we are 16 hours ahead.
On our trip back to Sydney, Giddy was invited to a RCCL VIP event for Pre-owned Rolex’s. We attended with Giddy as he inspected the watches looking for a special one –4113 Antimagnetique chronograph. I had asked Giddy how he wears a man’s watch since they are obviously too large. He looked at me funny and strapped the watch like a bandolier. Will he get a discount as a frequent cruiser?
After viewing the collection, I mentioned to Giddy that he needs to get more viewers and some sponsors or speak with Dan the Watchman. We have no problem when Giddy tags along on our cruises and adventures, but supporting his habits we need to draw the line. Giddy asked if he won a free cruise so I relented and stated I would consider the possibly of buying a timepiece for him.
We also went to Salvador Dali exhibit onboard for potential addition to his collection. We haven’t seen Giddy’s collection but understand it is quite exclusive. The exhibit was nice, but the paintings are copies.
Anyway, we arrive in Sydney on Friday, and need to leave our home on Ovation of the Seas and fly south to Melbourne.
Stay tune folks
