Travel with Giddy

Welcome to the world of travel! Traveling is an exhilarating and transformative experience that opens up new horizons, broadens your perspective on life.

Cruising Sea Days

What do you do on a Sea Day?  You really can’t get off the boat unless you want a long swim. Sorry I meant ship, it still floats so I refer to it as a boat.

When you are at the sea and your starboard cabin looks east, you wake-up as the sun rises above the horizon.  Typically for us it is around 630-700 that the sun begins to motivate us to get up.

We decided to follow Giddy around for the day and hopefully capture some of his Day at Sea highlights.

First on the day’s agenda -starts out in the club lounge with a cup of espresso and a long black.  Now the term Long black is “Americano for espresso and hot water.  So it is really a double espresso with water.

This is followed by Breakfast and when on board a ship, main dining is the best place for proper breakfast of fruit, eggs bacon and pork sausages along with plenty of raspberry jam.  As you notice Giddy likes his jam.

Then there are the 6 laps around the ship and let others pass as they sped by us.  Giddy’s short legs seem like it took forever to finish our laps

There are plenty of activities aboard from morning stretch classes to working out in the gym.  We relaxed watching for sea life, like a dolphin is going to dance and wave as the ship passes.

We did visited several parts of the ship and Giddy had a chat with some elves from Christmas land.

He even stood on the bow of the HMS Bounty and started yelling “I am taking the ship Captain Bligh.  We had to remind Giddy that he was just on a model ship.

Lunch was next on the agenda which can be buffet style serve yourself or be waited on in the main dining room with a menu of options. Decision time – the fish, steak or salad and no dessert – main dining room.  Since we are at sea – the fish

After lunch we went to the sauna area , but a little steamy and settled on spending the afternoon in the solarium.   Giddy relaxed and went for a float in the pool which was very relaxing.

After showering went off for a cocktail at the bar Giddy ordered a Curacao Cosmo while Bonnie and I had a cocktail.

A little after 6 we headed to Giovanni’s Italian restaurant for dinner.  Wonderful dinner of Pork Osso Bucco  wild mushroom risotto, spinach etc.  followed by a chocolate dessert which Giddy was now stuffed and we thought done for the evening.

Next he was out on dance floor with the music in background.  Tis didn’t last long, and he was back in our suitcase fast asleep.

There is plenty to do and the time flies, especially when having fun trailing Giddy around the ship.  By the way Captain Bligh was a trivia answer
