So, let’s talk about travel! Has anyone here ever been to Ireland? Ah, the land of lush green fields, rich history, and a whole lot of rain! Now, I had the pleasure of visiting Ireland last spring, and let me tell you, it was an experience! We are ready to go back and explore further the countryside.
First things first, it’s not just the land of leprechauns and four-leaf clovers. No, no! It’s actually a place filled with warm and welcoming people. I mean, I must have walked into a pub and suddenly welcomed everyone with shared stories, their joy, and their love of Guinness. Our friend Giddy was looking forward to meeting some friendly folk. And let me tell you, attempting an Irish accent is a whole different level of risk. I wouldn’t recommend.
Now, let’s talk about the weather. They say in Ireland you can experience all four seasons in just one day. And boy, is that true! I remember waking up to bright sunshine, thinking, “Wow, today is going to be nice” Now Ireland is a temperate climate varying from between 5°C (40°F) to 15°C (60°F) dependent on the season. Until it started raining. And I’m not talking about a light drizzle, no! It was as if the sky opened up. When it rains, it’s the best excuse to visit a pub. And let me tell you, the Irish know how to make a pub feel like a second home. The Guinness flows like a river, and the laughter spreads like wildfire.
This was our first trip to Ireland which started off in Dublin arriving from the US on a twelve-hour delayed flight. With our frowns and tired looks quickly turned to smiles and were reenergized to enjoy the evening after the first pint.
